WHOM ARE THESE PHOTO TOURS DESIGNED FOR?
They are designed for everyone that has some interest in Photography. Regardless of the camera you have, these tours were designed for you. You will save valuable time because we will show you the right places to be at. Local culture will also make part of the package.

HOW CAN I BOOK A PHOTOGRAPHY TOUR?
You can use the booking form on this website, you can send a direct e-mail or you can use WhatsApp. The phone number, like the e-mail, is on the booking form.

WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
Well, you can bring all your photo equipment, if it fits your bag. Can be a high-end camera (DSLR or Mirrorless) with interchangeable lenses, a hybrid model or a smartphone. Most of the tours are carbon-free, as they are walking tours. Use your common sense regarding the weight you’ll carry. Night photography tours need the use of a tripod.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO CUSTOMIZE A PHOTOGRAPHY TOUR?
Of course it is  possible and also advisable. Adjusting the technical level to your skills, or using the photography style you prefer, will provide the best experience. We definitely want to do that.

CAN THE PHOTO TOURS BE SHARED?
No they can’t. All photo tours are on a private basis, you will be alone or with your friends or family. Private tours allow a different personal connection, providing higher quality and also more fun.

HOW ARE THE NIGHT TOURS PLANNED?
Night tours are an amazing experience, totally different from a day experience. So instead of shooting a lot, you will shoot a minimum of photos along the tour. Think about each photo as a small light project with a goal: to create an outstanding night image.

CAN I RENT PHOTOGRAPHY EQUIPMENT?
Regarding cameras, lenses, smartphones, you can’t. But you can rent my professional tripod (universal mount) for the night tours. Very helpful if you don’t own one or if it doesn’t fit your travel bag/weight.

CAN I USE AND LEARN WITH MY SMARTPHONE?
Yes you can. Smartphones have amazing capabilities, you don’t want to miss them. If your smartphone’s camera allows manual exposure, you can learn how to capture the best light; if it doesn’t, you can practice image composition, crucial to get stunning photos.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IF I BOOK THE WORKSHOP?
You can expect a long day full of useful information. You will learn about the basics of Photography, like tech settings and image composition. It is a long list of topics, you will need time to memorise most of the info provided. Shooting, analyzing, correcting, is still one of the most affective ways to learn.

CAN MY NON-PHOTOGRAPHER COMPANION COME ALONG?
Yes, of course. All the tours will be a pleasent walk through the neighborhoods, stopping to enjoy the view, having a drink or using the toilet. During all photo tours, we will chat about the local culture, nobody will ever get bored.

HOW ARE LARGE GROUPS MANAGED?
Groups over 5-pax (private/corporate-events/team-building) will have a personalised approach and prices will be on request, using the booking form or contacts page info.

WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT THE PRICES?
Prices are fixed and they cover the time you are with LISBON PHOTO. They don’t change depending on the number of people. Single persons or small groups pay the same. Exception is Sintra,  where the price depends on the number of people, photographers and companions, because it includes private transfers from/to/in Sintra.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
The fee includes a tour leader, showing you the best route, with knowledge about the areas you will visit – also local culture – and an extensive knowledge about photography. Depending on the photo tour, the fee may also include private car transfers.

WHAT IS EXCLUDED FROM THE FEE?
Any tickets, drinks or meals. You are also responsible for your own travel insurance, so please take care of your safety before leaving home. We operate within urban environment, that means, according to the Portuguese law, we don’t have to provide insurance to our clients.

HOW AND WHEN DO I PAY FOR THE TOUR?
You can pay in cash at the end of each photo tour. To get an invoice, please send us your full name, full address, TAX number and e-mail address. It will be sent to you a couple of days later via e-mail.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
Heavy rain might be a problem, but otherwise it comes with extra photo effects that will blow your mind. As long as you cover yourself and your camera efficiently, it will be a challenging but wonderful experience.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL THE TOUR?
No worries about that. Just call, send an e-mail or chat, to cancel or to reschedule the tour. Should you cancel less than 24 hours before, a full charge of the tour will be asked for. Can be payed via PayPal or through your hotel reception.

WHAT ABOUT PRIVACY POLICY?
Privacy is something we take very seriously. Sharing contact information is not acceptable and therefore, it will never be done by LISBON PHOTO. Your contacts will stay secure, will be kept private and will be used only by LISBON PHOTO for direct (B2C) marketing purposes.
